The day I was born, I think my parents decided I should be a physician. My father was a engineer in the United States Department of Public Health and my mother was a registered nurse. Now my niece is a physician, and my son just took his MCAT to go to medical school.
Once you get accepted and start going to medical school, there is a huge division: either you’re going to be some kind of surgeon, or you’re not. To me, it was kind of obvious I wanted to be some kind of surgeon and really enjoyed OB-GYN work. I like the excitement of labor and delivery. It’s fast paced. If you have a problem, you take care of it. Bring on the pressure.
We started Denali OB-GYN because we weren’t happy at our different clinics. I think what makes Denali special is that it’s not about us. It’s about the patient. It’s about the patient experience and making sure that when we’re done taking care of them, they are as good as they can be.
For instance, when you come here, and you’re pregnant, even though there are six of us, you are scheduled to see me every single visit. We think that’s best because we get to really know the patient and they feel comfortable. If they are uncomfortable with something, they’re more likely to tell me than someone they’ve never met before. And I run about 85 percent of my own deliveries. Especially if someone is having their first baby, if they call me at 6 a.m., I’m here.

I absolutely love Dr. Adams! He's amazing! I recommend him to everyone looking for an OB. He is the reason I have a second set of healthy twins.Denali OB-GYN Patient
