Certified Nurse Midwife
Denali OB-GYN Clinic has been providing compassionate care to the women of Alaska for 20 years. We are looking for a capable, passionate, and energetic Certified Nurse Midwife to join our practice of 7 OB/GYN physicians and 2 Certified Nurse Midwives. Qualified candidate will work with collaborating physicians to provide compassionate care for their patients.
Duties include:
- Provide compassionate care in the office four to five weekdays a week. Visit types to be tailored to your scope of practice –preventative care, women’s health, prenatal care, primary care, surgical assisting.
- Practice medicine within scope of licensure and training.
- Maintain patient chart by accurately documenting services provided in a timely manner.
- Code diagnosis and visits/services appropriately.
- Educate patients and family.
- Promote a clinically safe environment by appropriate ordering of diagnostic studies, follow-up, medications, and etc.
- Work to promote Denali OB-GYN Clinic in the community
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current Alaska licensure
- CPR Certification (BLS Healthcare provider level) preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in women’s health preferred
- Experience using EHR, knowledge of medical coding, strong computer skills
- Excellent communication, counseling, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Commitment to teamwork, building and maintaining professional skills
- Unrestricted and current DEA license

Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN

Medical Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Take and record vitals
- Accurately and efficiently present patient’s reason for visit to provider
- Completely and accurately maintain patient records
- Prepare exam rooms for day’s visits/procedures
- Stock rooms
- Administer immunizations
- Triage patient phone calls
- Obtain lab/hospital reports as appropriate
- Sterilize instruments
- Assists with procedures within scope of practice

- Must be thorough and dependable
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be a self-starter and able to follow directions
- Must possess excellent customer services skills
- Must maintain confidentiality of patient health records and patient account data
- Must possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
