ABOUT ME
I have always known I wanted to work in Women’s Health and have dedicated the last decade of my life to doing just that. I have had the opportunity to be a Labor and Delivery nurse, and, in that role, I was able to help women experience the labor and delivery they desired. I knew I could make more of an impact as a Certified Nurse Midwife, so I pursued my Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University and became board certified midwife.
During my schooling I was able to complete my training in a variety of locations including a freestanding birth center and various hospitals in Alaska.
I was born in rural Iowa where I resided until graduation from high school. Soon after graduation, I met my husband, who was in the Army and we spent the last 16 years traveling as a military family. During that time, I was able to complete my Bachelor of Science in Nursing while constantly moving and solo parenting my children while my husband was deployed. After 16 years of traveling, we get to make Alaska our forever home! We thoroughly enjoy taking our kids on all the Alaskan adventures. If I am not working, you can find me driving my son to hockey with my daughter in tow.
“I believe in the wisdom of women, the power of birth, and the sacredness of holding space.”
